  • From 1967/68 onwards, France Football awarded a "Golden Boot" to the topscorer in all European leagues that season (or the spring-fall season before in relevant countries). It was awarded 25 times:

    Since 1996/97 the ESM (European Sports Magazines), of which France
    Football is one, award the Golden Boot again, with the modification
    that goals in leagues ranked 1st-8th according to the UEFA coefficient
    list (which determines the number of entries in the UEFA Cup) are
    multiplied by a factor 2, those in leagues ranked 9th-21st by a 
    factor 1.5.  After the winner, also the best scorer regardless of
    those multiplications is indicated (in italics).
